On March 20, Fortnite‘s Chapter 3: Season 2 update, “Resistance”, officially launched, including many new features. Not only did the new battle pass bring Doctor Strange to Fortnite, but Chapter 3 has also brought new movement mechanics as well, namely default “tactical” sprinting and mantling. Alongside this tweaking and changing of famous mechanics within Fortnite, “Resistance” also made a “no-build” mode default in public arenas for 9 days. Despite this monumental change to the Fortnite formula, leakers state no build mode might stay.
HYPEX, a popular Fortnite news Twitter account, recently tweeted today that data mining reveals players might be able to choose between building enabled or disabled modes after the season ends. HYPEX tweeted, “There’s SEPARATE No-Building modes that they can enable ANYTIME after this limited-time event ends. They changed most loading screen tips to say “In modes with building enabled …”
Seems like Epic IS planning to keep a No-Building modes, here are some signs/proofs 🔥

Furthermore, TweaBR, another popular Fortnite leaker, tweeted a graphic of an alleged no-build mode option within Fortnite‘s select screen. TweaBR tweeted, “The ‘No Builds’ LTM that will be available after 8 days will be called ‘Solo – No Build Battle Royale’.” Additionally, TweaBR followed his tweet with, “there will be (Solo, Duos, Trios & Squads) version too.”

While leaks must be taken with some skepticism; however, these leakers have been accurate about events in the past. Due to Epic Games not yet confirming the existence of a no-build mode for the future, only time will tell if HYPEX and TweaBr are correct. Fortnite seasons are typically 2 and a half months long; therefore, Epic Games might substantiate the leaks in late May or early June.
