Fortnite has released its newest game mode, Fortnite Festival, a rhythm game from Harmonix where players’ bands take the stage to play to a set of up to four songs. It has two modes: the Main Stage, where players aim to get a good score on an existing song, and the Jam Stage, where they can create their own mixes.
According to an overview of Fortnite Festival from the Fortnite Team, the mode “features a top-tier licensed soundtrack of massive global hits spanning many genres and decades. As the Festival continues to expand, connect with your friends through cross-platform play no matter what Fortnite-supported device you play on.”
The mode is free to play and supports up to four players, where they will assign themselves as guitar/keytar, drums, bass, and vocals. The overview also confirms that instrument peripheries like those made for Rock Band or Guitar Hero will be supported in the future, with more details coming next year.
Fortnite Festival launched with 34 songs to choose from, called Jam Tracks. They are available to purchase in the Item Shop for 500 V-Bucks or by progressing in the Festival Season Pass. The Main Stage also has a rotating selection of free tracks, and all players are given the tracks “OG (Future Remix)” and “Show Them Who We Are,” which can be used as Lobby or Jam Tracks.
The Twitter account for Fortnite Festival revealed the full track list for the new game mode, all of which can be found below.
