Even though the two have collaborated in the past, Fortnite and Street Fighter are working together to bring even more characters to the game. This collaboration will bring two more characters into Fortnite. Sakura and Blanka will each be coming to the incredibly popular game, along with gear for each. The two characters will be available beginning April 28 and are already decked out with their gear. The bundle will contain an emote, pickaxe, backpack, and alternate outfits for each character.

Sakura will come into the game looking to prove she is as strong as Ryu. She will have the normal Sakura outfit but also has a Sakura gym outfit that is inspired by a Street Fighter IV alt. According to the Epic Games website, “the Sakura Outfit includes the Hanakaze Claw Back Bling. For those extra confident of their victory, flaunt the Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe. Additionally, keep the pests away with the Kayari Buta Glider.”
As Sakura comes into the game decked out in gear, Fortnite had to make sure that Blanka was equally equipped. In addition to the classic Blanka outfit, there will also be a Delgado style that is inspired by Rival Schools’ Boman Delgado. Epic Games also included some more information about Blanka’s gear in their post, saying “Included with the Blanka Outfit is the Blanka-Chan Back Bling. Don’t step on it — the more eliminations you get in a match, the more electrified it gets. And the preferred snack of electrified warriors everywhere, the Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe will also be available.”
Fortnite also announced that there would be two cups taking place. The first is a mobile-only cup that will have zero building. The second will be taking place on all platforms on April 28. Each version will have a prize of a brand new loading screen.
As Fortnite works to grow even more popular, fans should not be surprised if more collaborations between the two companies, and possibly more, continue to occur throughout 2022.
