Each year Fortnite releases a limited-time gaming event for the players to have a party by completing quests and earning rare event items and this year isn’t any different. This year marks Fortnite’s 7th birthday and due to this, Epic Games has announced the details for the Fortnite 7th birthday limited-time event which will last from September 24th, 2024, until October 1, 2024, at 2 am ET.
The following are the 6 quests that players will be able to play this year:
- Cheers to the birthday of the bus driver
- Toss birthday gifts or leave chests open
- Use balloons from Birthday Medallions to travel while in the air
- Consume birthday cake pieces
- Blow up or release balloons
- Use the Flare Gun to reveal players by igniting pyrotechnics
If the player gets hurt during any of the quests, there will be slices of birthday cake available. The cake will instantly restore health and provide a shield of protection.
It has also been announced that birthday presents have returned. If the player finds a gift, they can break it open for special objects. It is unknown how many gifts there are in the game but there have been two that are confirmed. One is the firework flare gun that can be used to light up wooden structures. The other is a birthday medallion. This will give the player a balloon that allows them to jump up to three max at a time. Unlike the fireworks flare gun, the birthday medallion will not reveal the players’ location to others.
After the player completes the quest, they will earn XP, which can be used to unlock rewards, which are: the completion of one quest will receive a birthday bug spray; the completion of three quests will receive a cake clobberer pickaxe; and the completion of five or more quests will be rewarded with a sprinkly space cake back bling. There will also be some returning merchandise that players can buy during the event.
