A new indie-game titled Forgotlings was set to release on June 12, 2025, but this has been pushed back to the fall of 2025. The explanation for this is that the dev team needs more time in order to put together a game that can meet the high expectations fans both ‘’expect & deserve’’. Developed by Throughline Games, and published by Hitcents, the game is described as an adventure, story-rich RPG style game that allows players to experience a ‘’enchanted realm inhabited by lost things searching for a purpose’’. Adding on to this, Hitcents also said:
Journey to distant corners of our collective memories and unite warring tribes against a mysterious looming threat to their existence
UPDATE📢
We’ve decided to push the launch date for Forgotlings to Fall 2025 to ensure it meets the high standards we know you expect & deserve.
🎥To dive into what we’ve been working on & what we hope to accomplish w/ the extra dev time, here’s a special video from our team

The main playable character in the game is said to be Fig, who is a posing doll. In the game, players will often have the chance to take on bandits, or critters, and connect with lost tribes through dialogue, or a mini-game called ‘’INA’’. Unfortunately for gamers that were looking forward to the release of Forgotlings, the wait that has been two years in the making already will have to continue. This news on social media generated reactions from gamers, with most feeling that the decision to push the release date back is justified, as opposed to feeling disappointed in the decision. Here is one of the reactions from X(formerly known as Twitter).
IMO it’s the best move possible, guys! 🙏🏼 Your game will be more likely to be spotted by players during Fall.
In any case, as a big fan of Forgotton Anne I can’t wait to play Fig (and my DualSense too) 😌 Good luck, team!
