Yesterday, Ubisoft finally revealed the details of Patch 1.05 on their blog, and boy does it make some changes. Coming only a little over a week from the previous patch, For Honor is clearly being looked after and polished following its release.
One of the first big changes being made to the game is adjusting the visuals when using superior block. Ubisoft had noticed that the visual feedback was somewhat inconsistent between the different characters. As of now, some characters would have their shield flash while others their swords. This would cause some characters such as the Warden’s feedback to be a little wonky. To fix this, they will be having the feedback to be only on the sword(for him). The same was done with Kensei when using dodge.
They also decided to make some changes to Regenerate as players would exploit it by fighting enemies out of Guard Mode. the developers noted that, “the Warlord could just release lock, take hits, and the Feat would regenerate his HP without much of a challenge”. After the patch goes live, regenerate will only be efficient in “safe scenarios”. To compensate for the loss of regeneration when hit, they will increase the regeneration rate from 10hp to 12hp.
There will also be a few changes for some game modes as well. Elimination will no longer allow boosts to be picked up at the start of the round, players will have to wait 20 seconds after the round starts before they appear. The pickup time for the boosts will also be increased from one second to two.
While this article will include a bit of information on what is in the patch, there is no way to fit in everything. Feel free to head over to the blog and take a look at just how massive this patch is, and what changes it makes to the game. The patch is currently on the PC already and will go live on the Xbox One and Playstation 4 in around a week from now according to the games twitter account.
