For Honor Alpha Information Released

Earlier today, Ubisoft released information on the For Honor alpha. The alpha will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC users on September 15th until September 18th. The six playable warriors will be: Kensei, Orochi, Warden, Raider, the Conqueror and Berserker. Ubisoft stated that “each Hero is equipped with a unique set of skills, weapons, armour and fighting styles, as well as a wide library of customisation options,”(via GameSpot) And within the alpha, it will allow players to get a taste of what the different systems within the game will be like. For example, what the progression system will be like as you unlock different weapons and skills to help aid you in combat, and the visual customization with their fights on the battlefield.

The game modes that will be available are: the 1v1 Duel, 2v2 Brawl, and the 4v4 Dominion modes. Within these different modes, there will be different maps to separate each experience from the other. With each different map, there will be different ways for the player to use the environment to their tactical advantage. As of now, it is unclear whether any class will have a huge tactical advantage on a certain map or if the different classes are pretty evenly matched and winning is more based on the gamer’s skill.

This alpha is a closed one, so signing up is required, so you could go and sign up on the For Honor official site. While the amount of information on For Honor has been focused mainly on the multiplayer aspect, it is not the only part of the game. There will be a single player campaign that focuses on a character named Apollyon who played a role in starting a war between the Vikings, Samurai, and Knights to last through many years.
