First Screenshots of PRIM Revealed, Demo Expected To Release Soon

CMMN CLRS (pronounced as “Common Colors”) have shared the first screenshots of their first full-length adventure game: PRIM. The team recently revealed the screenshots in a post on the game’s Twitter page.

PRIM is a point-and-click style game that follows the journey of Prim, the teenaged daughter of Death. As the only child in the underworld, Prim sometimes feels lonely. She begins having weird dreams of a vaguely familiar boy crying out for help. She wants to help him. The problem? He is in the Realm of the Living, and her father, Thanatos, claims she is not yet ready to enter the realm. What will she do? Players will join Prim as she sneaks to the forbidden Realm of the Living, against her father’s wishes, in search of the mysterious boy. Help her learn to alternate between the two realms, meet new quirky characters, solve puzzles, and discover a truth that has long been hidden from her.

Judging by the teaser, the game showcases a unique and dark art style. The music provides a ghostly yet whimsical atmosphere, working nicely with the “creepy yet cute” theme of the developers. The game is also inspired by figures and elements of Greek mythology, including some of its characters. As the project is still in development, the team has only described three: Prim, her father (Thanatos), and her aunt (Keres). Additional characters shall be added as the game continues to progress.

CMMN CLRS also posted an update to the game’s official website. In addition to the screenshots revealed, the team also announced that a demo for the project was currently in the works. Since the Fall of 2018, according to the first post made to the site, the team expected to be able to launch the demo mid-2019. It seems as though they are still on course to do so. The post informs anticipating fans to “STAY TUNED!” as the team hopes to reveal further details regarding the demo soon.

CMMN CLRS has not announced any expected release date or period, however, we can expect to hear more details regarding the possible demo in the coming months. If you would like to follow the game’s progression, be sure to also check out the game’s YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
