Another Round Entertainment has announced that its debut project, Jumpbound, will officially launch on Steam for PC on September 24, 2025. The Helsinki-based indie studio describes the title as a first-person platformer that blends atmospheric exploration with demanding vertical challenges, where each milestone unlocks new ways to push further upward, according to a press release.

At its core, Jumpbound is about climbing higher than you thought possible. Players begin with a simple leap, but each step forward rewards them with additional jumps and dashes. By the later stages, what once seemed unreachable transforms into a chain of complex maneuvers: mid-air turns, quick recoveries, and daring leaps of faith. Every mistake means starting again, but each fall doubles as a lesson, keeping the cycle of discovery and determination intact.

The game unfolds on a mysterious alien world filled with cryptic ruins and traces of an ancient civilization. Subtle storytelling emerges through fragments of the protagonist’s inner thoughts, while the environment shifts in mood as players advance. The tone strikes a balance between meditative exploration and the thrill of high-stakes platforming, encouraging both patience and persistence.

Jumpbound also caters to different playstyles with adjustable difficulty options. Players can rely on checkpoints or attempt the climb without them for greater challenge and achievements. Hidden throughout the game are more than two dozen collectibles and Easter eggs, along with secret routes that reward careful observation and offer shortcuts for ambitious speedrunners.

“We wanted to create a game that feels both cozy and challenging, a place where every leap forward feels earned, and every fall makes you want to try again,” said Eero Kuurne, co-founder of Another Round Entertainment. “Jumpbound is about determination, mystery, and the joy of climbing higher than you thought you could.”

Drawing inspiration from the jumping puzzles of Destiny 2 and DOOM Eternal and the atmosphere of Journey, Jumpbound presents itself as both a challenge and a meditative experience. The studio hopes players will treat every fall not as failure but as an invitation to keep climbing.

Jumpbound will be available on September 24 for PC via Steam, where players can wishlist the game ahead of launch. The official release trailers give players a taste of the expansive world that awaits them in Jumpbound.
