Just a few hours ago, developer and publisher Bad Guitar Studio, released gameplay footage of their game FragPunk. On IGN’s YouTube channel, they released and nine minute video of gameplay footage of the first-person shooter game that is set to release on March 6th of this year. The footage shows a new character named Chum, who has different unique abilities and skillset that can help out the team as well as how the game will be played. Players who are interested in FragPunk can add it to their wishlists right now on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation 5.

FragPunk is an action, fast-paced hero shooter game with five players per team. The game uses powerup cards that changes throughout each round to change up the gameplay. Players will be able to choose their Lancer they would like to play as, their weapons, and their abilities from the card selection. Players will only have thirty seconds to finalize their card selection for each round.

This is what the Steam page has to say about how the cards will be used, “No two rounds of FragPunk are ever the same. Discover over 100 Shard Cards with an activatable selection that changes every round creating new and unique combinations that create infinite possibilities! Cards can amplify your jump height, reverse the roles of attackers and defenders, engulf your bullets in flame or turn them into chain lightning, and even may resurrect you and your team!”

Throughout the gameplay, players learn about who Chum is as well as the Dongtian map. Chum is a stone robot, which makes him a strong defense character, who is accompanied by his stone mechanical pet anger fish named Chomper. Chomper can send out a cloud of smoke as he is set to the ground by Chum, but the card selection can change up Chomper’s abilities as seen in the second round of gameplay where he sends out a flash-bang of sorts. Chum comes with other abilities like a sticky bomb ability.
