Campo Santo, the developer of Firewatch, announced on Twitter yesterday that their game would be getting a physical release. The only catch is that it will be a limited run, so act fast.

Firewatch, if you are unfamiliar, is a popular indie game that came out back in February to some critical acclaim with Metacritic giving the game an 81. In the game, you take control of Henry as he begins his new job as the Shoshone National Forest fire lookout. Players follow Henry through his day to day tasks as he talks to Delilah, his supervisor. As for the gameplay, it can be classified as a story-driven adventure game with dialog options similar to a Telltale game.
The physical release is being handled by Limited Run Games, an online company that specializes in limited physical releases for games and their soundtracks. Limited Run Games have done similar things with games like Saturday Morning RPG, Thomas Was Alone, Oddworld: New N’ Tasty and Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
Firewatch is available on PS4, PC, Mac, and Xbox One, but the physical release will be limited to the PS4, much like Limited Run’s previous endeavors. No release date or price were given, but the tweet did say that it would be out this year. As for the price the vanilla version of the game is $19.99 on the PlayStation Store and Limited Run games tend to have a $24.99 price tag, so it should be around there.
