Find Out What Bethesda Has Planned For The Upcoming Fallout 4 DLC Coming In March

It appears that we will soon have more of the Commonwealth to explore in the coming months. By way of its blog Bethesda has announced three pieces of DLC that will release each month starting in March.

First up is Automatron and will allow players to build, fight and customize their own robot and is set to release in March for $9.99.

The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!

The next piece is called Wasteland Workshop and you can expect it sometime in April. This is the cheapest DLC of the bunch, coming in at $4.99. As Kotaku put it, this DLC seems very Pokémon-esque, if in Pokémon the trainers occasionally captured other people and forced them to fight a Charizard Gladiator style.

With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!

Last up is Far Harbor and it’s not only the most expensive ($24.99), it’s also the largest adding in a whole new area and a new mystery to solve with everyone’s favorite synthetic detective. Check it out when it drops later this May.

A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

That’s not the end of it either, Bethesda has more DLC in the works and plans to release it throughout 2016. To compensate for that Bethesda has raised the price for the Fallout 4 season pass from $29.99 to $49.99, but don’t worry those who have already purchased the season pass won’t be charged the additional $20. Even if you haven’t bought the season pass yet you have until March 1st to get it for $29.99 and still receive all future expansions for for no additional cost.

Can’t wait until March? Bethesda is also running a closed beta for consoles and PC, you can sign up at Bethesda.net. All you need to do is sign up for an account, and Bethesda will select applicants in the coming weeks.

Along with DLC Bethesda is also working on free updates and content patches to the game which includes a completely revamped Survival Mode and a Creation Kit that will allow players to create and play mods absolutely free. Currently these two things are in the testing phase, but we’ll let you know when we find out more information.
