Without a doubt, one of the biggest titles to come out of this years E3 was Final Fantasy VII Remake. The anticipation has continued to soar since fans finally got a full look at the game, and now it appears that Square Enix is prepping for some more reveals later this week. Director Tetsuya Nomura has tweeted that they will unveil a brand new trailer for the title on Thursday, September 12 during the first official day of the Tokyo Game Show 2019 (TGS).
While this isn’t a whole lot to go on, fans are still very excited to see what else Square Enix and company have up their sleeves. The last trailer was the beautiful reintroduction to Midgar, as well as the classic train opening sequence. In addition, there was also an in depth look at the gameplay, which was a far departure from the well known turn-based Active Time Battle that made the franchise such a massive success. However, it also helps that the game plays well, as we were able to go hands on with a demo of the game at E3 and came away fairly impressed
Hopefully Square Enix will show off some more of the fan favorites that we’ll get to play as such as Vincent, Cid, and Cait Sith. There’s a plethora of titles lined up for us to see with Death Stranding, Yakuza 7, Nioh 2, and Ghosts of Tsushima to name few. The Tokyo Game Show 2019 will go from Thursday, September 12 to Sunday, September 15. You can check out the Final Fantasy VII Remake trailer when it goes live on their official Youtube channel here.
