A new leak has revealed that a Final Fantasy VII Remake demo will be coming to PlayStation 4 before the official release in March. The leak also revealed that Patapon 2 Remastered which was announced in 2017 is on the way as well. No official dates have been given for either of these titles.
Patapon is a series that has players leading a group of warriors but what makes the game unique is how you do so as the gameplay is rhythm-based. While some leaks may not be true, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Patapon 2 Remastered as Resident Evil 3 Remake was revealed early in the same way prior to its official announcement during the last State of Play of the year.
Patapon, Patapon 2 and Patapon 3 were originally released on the PlayStation Portable. Patapon was originally released on February 6, 2008. Patapon 2 was released on May 5, 2009. Patapon 3 was released on April 12, 2011. Patapon Remastered was released on August 1, 2017. While Patapon and Patapon 2 have been remastered, there has been no official announcement if there will be a remastered version of Patapon 3.
The last time we heard anything from Final Fantasy VII Remake was a few weeks ago at The Game Awards where a new trailer was released. The trailer focused on the main character Cloud Strife. Ever since the game was shown off at E3 this year, there has been a variety of news surrounding the game. For instance, if players find themselves not liking the new hybrid combat system, they can switch to classic mode where the game will play like the original. The developers have also revealed that they have begun work on the next part of the remake as this first game will cover the Midgar section of the game. Since these games were leaked before an official announcement, it’s safe to assume that players can expect both games soon.
