The stories that started it all. Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is the remastered games of Final Fantasy I through VI. It was first released on Steam last year. The first six games were made in pixels, and a few received different ports throughout the years. However, this edition of the remastered games offered new features such as the improved 2D pixel graphics, keeping the nostalgia of pixel but also incorporating modern graphics. The sound was also reworked for the remaster. And now, Square Enix announced that the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
There is an abundance of new features and updates fans can look forward to in the remasters of the game. The games will have new fonts making it easier on the eyes to read. Some of the older Final Fantasy games had challenging aspects to it. The remastered games were made so fans new and old can enjoy the experience of the series while also making it easier to play. It will stay close to the original experience of the games. The music of the games was also reworked. Players do have the option to change the music settings to their preference so they can either listen to the remastered tracks or relive the nostalgia and listen to the original tracks.
A new feature has been added to the console ports. Players can now adjust the rate of encounters, experience gain, and gil drops. This will allow players to adjust how much experience they can gain per battle, leaving behind the need to grind levels for tougher bosses in the end game. Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on April 19, 2023.
