According to Polygon, Final Fantasy 15’s Ultimate Collector’s Edition, listed at $270, will not contain a season pass for the 6 installments of DLC that is expected to come with the game. This informations comes from a Twitter Q&A with Final Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata.
Exclusively on the Square Enix Online Store, the Final Fantasy 15 Ultimate Collector’s Edition is listed at $269.99 USD. It includes goodies such as a collector’s hardcover art book, a statue of main character Prince Noctis, A digital and disc copy of the full-length film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15 as well as the game’s new anime Brotherhood and last but certainly not least bonus in-game content such as a unique weapon and a travel pack. All of these extras sound like a relatively good deal for $270, if they came with the DLC too.
Square Enix said that there would only be 30,000 copies of the Ultimate Collector’s Edition available in the world. Of those 30,000 copies all of them were sold out within a half hour. Square Enix then announced more of this edition would be produced, however it was unclear if they would be ready by launch. If you want to buy a copy of the Ultimate Collector’s Edition you will have to sign up for a waitlist using your E-mail.
The Final Fantasy 15 season pass will include six confirmed pieces of downloadable content, three packs and three episodes. They include DLC devoted to the other main characters Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto. The season pass will be included in the digital premium edition of the game, which can currently be found on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store.
FF15 will be released after a delay November 29th.
