Final Fantasy 14 Could Potentially Come To Xbox One

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn looks to be on its way to a new console. That console being Xbox, the franchise has been synonymous with PlayStation however the only reason the games haven’t expanded is cross-platform play.

As many have reported Microsoft in the last few months has began to support cross-platform gaming and thus has opened a new world of games to their system. In this case FF14 is one of them. Microsoft initiated the contact with game director Naoki Yoshida but it won’t happen immediately.

When it comes down to it the only thing holding this from hopping according to Yoshida is that Microsoft have clauses and regulations that would be detrimental to running a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). However according to Naoki they are in active discussions.

As with any Final Fantasy game the value of adding this to your collection is immense. There are hours upon hours of things to do, Xbox players will appreciate the opportunity to have this title and spend that time exploring and playing as much as possible. It was unclear about the DLC opportunities for Xbox, however if this goes through they should have them in their entirety.

This comes at a perfect time after E3 where players saw first hand what FF15 will bring to the table and as a result many Xbox players are intrigued and want to get lost in that realm. What better than to bring them the last installment of the game before FF15 launches? Get ready to spend some serious time.

Happy Grinding.
