EA’s FIFA series has long been the go-to soccer/football game for many. FIFA 15’s new trailer talks about some of the visual effects that are new to the series with this year’s entry.

It’s one of the laws of games: another year, another crop of annuals from EA featuring tweaked mechanics and minor updates. It’s a cycle that gamers either love or hate depending on their dedication to the titles involved. This year, thanks to the arrival of the new console generation, many of those games will see a much more significant bump up the technological ladder than they typically get, and FIFA 15 is one of the games seeing some of the advantages of this fresh tech.
FIFA is one of EA’s more internationally popular sports titles, even if in the US it typically falls short of the popularity of their Madden series. Though last year’s titles were technically many EA regulars’ new gen debuts, they have added a lot of great features for this year. Player emotions are only one in an impressive list of graphical features coming in FIFA 15, along with more realistic crowds, hair physics, and even some nice (albeit relatively minor) terrain deformation, all working together to make FIFA 15 the series’ most graphically advanced title yet.
FIFA 15 will be making its way to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in all the glory of the Ignite engine on September 23rd, featuring all of the graphical updates featured above as well as all the new gameplay features and tweak that typically come with EA’s sports titles. The game will also be coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, and 3DS, though in a diminished capacity compared to the versions featured on the more powerful new hardware. Wii U owners are looking to be disappointed, with a release for the console being conspicuously absent from EA’s planned console list. With release less than three months away for the game on most consoles, players who have been waiting for the next iteration in the series have little time left to wait.
