FGO x Mahoyo Collab Brings New Servants To JP Servers

Fate Grand Order fans have been enjoying new collab, well the JP fans at least. Last week the game added a new collab event running from April 24th to May 15th with another Type Moon game: Witch on the Holy Night, often referred to as Mahoyo as a shortening of its Japanese title. A visual novel type game similar to the style of Fate: Stay Night, Mahoyo exists in the same world as the main Fate series or one very similar.

This crossover will see three new servants added to the game, based on the main cast of Mahoyo: Aoko Aozaki, Alice Kuonji, and Soujuurou Shizuki. It will also have an event story for players to make their way through to earn some nice rewards. For completing the main story of the event players will earn Soujuurou Shizuki as a welfare servant. As a single target buster Berserker, Shizuki might not have the best place in accounts with others of that type already invested into. However, his welfare status makes him a free Noble Phantasm level 5, so he might just be worth investing in. He also will get an experience bonus up during the event, meaning he will be cheaper to level up and invest in.

Aozaki and Kuonji will both be limited five stars coming on separate banners during the event. Aozaki will be a Foreigner who’s NP transforms her into a buffed state. In this buffed state she gains permanent buffs as long as she’s in it and her NP becomes an AOE arts NP. The only other characters who fill that role are Katsushika Hokusai, and the welfare servant from Summer 2023 Cnoc na Riabh Yaraan-Doo. As all FGO players know, attempting to procure a welfare servant after their event is over is nigh impossible, so if players don’t have Cnoc or Hokusai Aozaki might be a good investment.

Kuonji will be a AOE quick Caster, which isn’t a very common role. However, there are some alternatives, though both are limited. One is the five star limited Izumo no Okuni and the other is the four star limited Daikokuten who was recently added to the NA server with the recent Learning with Manga event that is happening. Overall Kuonji seems to focus on survivability and damage, which might make her a good choice for challenge quests.

Overall, JP players have a lot to do during this event, although who has pulls after Ordeal Call 2  – which came out at the end of last month – is another story. NA players will now be able to plan their pulls for the future as they continue through FGO’s road to Lostbelt 7 year long campaign. For now they are currently in the middle of the learning with manga event, and the next major release should be the main story Chapter 6.5 Traum in June.
