Do you like fighting games? Yes? Do you like grapplers? No? Well a lot of people absolutely adore grapplers (and the rest of the player base hates them with a burning passion) and every fighting game has to have one, so welcome SNK’s Garou: City of the Wolves’ local eagle-headed wrestler and grappler extraordinaire, Tizoc.
An invincible symbol of justice who now makes his triumphant return to the ring. Despite hanging up his boots for a time, the joyous cries of the children in his corner spur him into action—and bring him back home. Pledging to lift the spirits of one young fan in particular, he laces up and sets his sights on the squared circle once again. For the mighty Tizoc, one thing’s for sure: this fight will be even more furious than the last.
It looks like Tizoc is back to being a good guy again, and he’s brought his moveset of Icarus Crash and Active Tupon with him, so all the filthy grappler mains should be more than happy with his inclusion. Coming with Tizoc is a cool wrestling ring-esque stage, with King of Fighters alumni Raiden in the background on some sort of crane announcing the match.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster is really rounding itself out now, with most of the characters from the initial trailer now having an official trailer, it looks like we’re going to be in for some surprises for the rest of the roster, as well as some shoe-in returning characters from Garou: Mark of the Wolves and Kain Heinlein. In any case, it’s good to see competition so fierce both in and out of the game, and these great reveals are sure to keep the hype train chugging until City of the Wolves’ official release in 2025.
