Independent game development studio, Evil Raptor, announced the pre-alpha playtest launch of their upcoming cowboy extraction shooter in partnership with Fireshine Games this past Thursday, October 23. Fans online have been quick to build excitement and anticipation around the upcoming FPS, as playtesters have begun expressing praise for the polished experience Far Far West offers in what many fans are shocked is only its pre-alpha state. With beautifully vibrant, detailed, and varied desert landscapes, it is no wonder such praise is at the forefront of fans’ minds just a few days after the early access period’s beginning.

Far Far West sees you and up to three friends embark on a hectic co-op journey that leads out far, far west. Through several dusty, post-apocalyptic desert-themed missions, you will engage in bounty hunts, blasting your way through hordes of reanimated skeletal foes, all the while upgrading your collection of elemental spells. With the primary goal of getting in, getting out, and ultimately getting paid, your motley crew of robotic cowboys has to survive the onslaught of environmental phenomena, all while dodging the large and bright bullet hell reminiscent attacks from hulking skeletal raid bosses. Fire, electric, and toxic elemental magic combined with an upgradable six-shooter revolver at your disposal, group survival, and intentional item use will be the key to success in this colorful and action-packed take on a western first-person shooter.
