If you’re looking to play Ubisoft’s digital copy of Far Cry 4 on Xbox One today, then you may be out of luck. Players that have purchased the game through the Xbox Live Marketplace have reported numerous problems with downloading and playing the content.
The troubles surrounding Far Cry 4 don’t only extend to the playable content but the entire game on the Xbox Live Market itself. While players are able to search for the game, they are not able to download it even if it was previously purchased. Though there have been an abundance of players to report this issue, it has not affected all Far Cry 4 members.
On Ubisoft’s forums, a Community Manager by the user name Mr_Shade, addressed the issue,
“Hi guys,
This maybe related to the issue that Far Cry 4 appears to have been removed from the Xbox Store for some users. Please make sure you are contacting Xbox Support for your region – however the team are activity investigating the issue, but please make sure Xbox Support are aware you are experiencing the issue.”
Developers suspect a bug or glitch may be behind the Far Cry troubles.
No current update has been provided from Ubisoft representatives, but they want players to be aware that it is an active investigation and they hope to have the matter resolved soon. Microsoft has yet to comment on the issue. For more information please visit Ubisoft and Xbox Support websites.
