The Five Nights at Freddy’s series is showing no signs of waning popularity, and recently a team of filmmakers and fans of the indie thriller have put out a short cinematic feature based on the most recent game, Five Nights at Freddy’s 3
Lasting only about a minute, the animated short features the main antagonist from the third game, Springtrap, making his way towards the security booth where the player operates from in the actual game. Players only see Springtrap in brief flashes on security cameras when playing Five Nights 3, so this short reveals how things are going from his perspective.
The film has proved popular, having racked up a quarter of a million views in just five days, along with 30,061 likes and a mere 156 dislikes.
In other Five Nights news, developer Scott Cawthon has confirmed that a fourth and presumably final game is in the works, titled Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter. No other information on the game currently exists other than the above image, which features the titular Freddy Fazbear looking rather delightful.
Additionally, the rights to a Five Nights feature film have been secured by Warner Bros.
