Fangtopia Set to Release on October 26th

With the fall of 2026 approaching, more and more games will begin taking inspiration from that season. One of the most popular themes of fall is the spooky vibe often permeating the month of October, making it no surprise that the release date for the upcoming Fangtopia is set for late that month near Halloween. Developed by Absolutely Games and published by Secret Mode, Fangtopia sees players enter into a world of haunting fiends who only want to help, giving players a chance to complete puzzles to build out their world.

The new release date trailer for the game opens up as an island starts expanding out while an eerie narrator describes the scene. The island pieces are tiles, which the Steam store page describes as the building blocks for the monster paradise that serves as the game’s goal. The tiles also serve as puzzle pieces to complete increasingly complex challenges. To progress and earn the highest score possible, players will be tasked with assigning specific tiles to one another from a randomly generated stack. Alternatively, the game offers players the option to ignore the high score and build the world in way they find visually appealing or comfortable for the monsters.

The monsters themselves serve as an element of discovery and companionship in the game. As players progress, they will encounter new creatures such as werewolves and witches. Each of these creatures can be assigned a home in the spooky world, such as special landmarks or entire villages. In a friendly twist, the fiends of Fangtopia don’t want to scare the villagers at all, lending more to the casual atmosphere promised by the trailer.

With the spooky month on the horizon, many players may find comfort in the friendlier take on monsters provided by Fangtopia. The game is set to release on PlayStation, Switch 2, and PC on October 26th, 2026.
