One of the most beloved entries in the Soulsborne franchise is celebrating its seventh anniversary this week. It’s hard to believe that Bloodborne launched in 2015 seven years ago, and would go on to be considered one of the greatest PlayStation exclusives of all time. Sadly it seems that From Software is not doing anything special of the sort to commemorate this. Thankfully, the fans aren’t letting this go to waste. Lilith Walther, who is the creator of the popular Bloodborne Demake, has announced that the former April Fools joke is about to become a reality; Bloodborne Kart is coming!

As you can see in the tweet above, Walther made the reveal official and stated that they will release the project when it is ready. She also posted a very brief teaser in the tweet, which shows the Hunter walking slowly in the darkness until the light shines on a motorcycle. The title card, Boodborne Kart then appears alongside over-the-top music that is definitely not part of the original Bloodborne composition. The approach of the reveal is also done with a tongue-in-cheek throwback as the Hunter and the bike’s position are the exact same as Katsuhiro Otomo’s famous manga and film Akira.
As we already mentioned, Walther famously made this the point of an April Fools joke in 2021 when she “announced” that she was canceling the Demake and instead making the Kart iteration instead. While this was merely a joke, a lot of the fans stated in the comments that they would like to play this game should it ever come into existence. Fast forward nearly a year later, and it looks like Walther is going to make their dreams come true. Getting the Bloodborne Demake was already an impressive feat, but now Walther is going to make the celebration that much more special.
