The already widely successful Fallout Shelter app on ios has just hit a new untouched market. As of today, the app was released to ios devices in China. This is big for Bethesda as the gaming community in China is a very large untapped oil mine. In order for this app to come to China Bethesda had to team up with Shanda Games Ltd to jointly publish this game in China. This would be the first time that Bethesda partnered with a China company.
As of now it is unclear whether Bethesda had to make any big changes to the game in order for it to be available to players in China. What is known is that as of now there is no big plans to have it available for PC and Android devices, unlike in America where it is available on all three platforms. Gamespot is trying its best to get a quote from Bethesda on what the gameplay of the China version is compared to the version that gamers have come to love.
With all of China’s rules on Internet usage, websites available, and other social media aspects it would not be surprising that they would request for some tweaks to be made for the game’s release. However, hopefully not much was needed to be changed in order for the release to work as the game works and is loved by many, so would be a shame to see that gameplay ruined. Also, the new big update for Fallout Shelter just recently came out, and added many new cool features. Such as new locations to send your dwellers, some new quests, and even changing up the combat system. By bringing these changes, it allows players to do more with the game, and it also enables players to find more legendary gear with ease in the game.
