As the Fallout television series rolls out this week to rave reviews, Bethesda decided to keep the train rolling with a number of other Fallout updates. Fallout 76 is having a free play week and sales on all platforms. In addition, Bethesda announced that the long-awaited free next-gen update for Fallout 4 will be coming later in the month on April 25.

The free update adds native applications for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, performance and quality mode settings, 60 FPS and increased resolutions, as well as stability improvements and fixes.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will also get a free update with stability improvements, login and quest fixes.
The PC version of Fallout 4 on Steam, Microsoft Store, and GOG will get stability, mods and bug fixes. Bethesda also noted that the login issues for Chinese and Japanese language players on its official website has been resolved, fixing access to mods for those players. Fallout 4 will also be available to play on Steam Deck and will be available to purchase on the Epic Games Store.
A new Fallout 4 storyline is coming to the game as part of the new update bringing the Pre-War cabal, The Enclave into the mix. The new quest “Echoes of the Past” has players trying to stop the Enclave from spreading their dangerous ideology and gaining a foothold in the Commonwealth.
Free Creation Club items are coming to the game including Enclave Weapon Skins, Enclave Armor skins, the Tesla Cannon, Hellfire Power Armor, X-O2 Power Armor, Heavy Incinerator, the Makeshift Weapon Pack featuring a baseball launcher, a nail gun, a piggy bank, and the Halloween Workshop featuring 38 new Halloween decorations including witches, cauldrons, ghouls, and more.
