Fallout 4 Receives Mod Support on Xbox One – How They Work

Last year at E3, Bethesda Softworks announced that it’s latest game, Fallout 4, would support mods on both the Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Today, May 31, Fallout 4 on the Xbox One will receive mod support, nearly 7 months after the game’s release, with support for the PS4 to come later.

This is the first time mods have been available on a home console, and fans are curious to see how it all works.  Check out this video from the folks over at Eurogamer to catch a glimpse of how the process is streamlined for console:

It appears players will need to sign up to Bethesda.net in order to start downloading mods.  From there, players will be able to download any type of content they desire.

Some mods, however, require to be loaded in a certain order. Pay attention to how you stack your mods, should you be using a heavy amount, in order to reduce complications.

One of the most popular mods, The Full Dialogue Interface, will be available for Xbox One.  This mod adds full sentences instead of paraphrased ideas during dialogue.  This way, players will never guess at what they should say, or want to say, during the game’s heavy dialogue sections.

Bethesda has shown continued support for Fallout 4, with their latest expansion, Far Harbor, seeing appraise from critics and players alike. With more DLC planned for the future, it seems Fallout 4 still has quite the future ahead of it.
