Whether you like the game or not, you can’t deny that Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout isn’t one of the biggest breakout hits of 2020. Thanks to a combination of simple and addictive gameplay and stellar coverage by online content creators, Mediatonic and Devolver Digital’s platform battle royale title has swept the nation.
But with any majorly popular game like Fall Guys, stagnation quickly becomes an aspect. When a game like this is so widely played, streamed, and recorded, it’s easy for people to grow fatigued or bored with the game’s content, and so developers have to constantly be adapting and trying new things. Look at how much content Epic Game’s massively popular battle royale Fortnite has – the game has had 12 different seasons, each with a different theme. Speaking of seasons, it seems that that’s exactly the system Mediatonic plans to follow with Fall Guys, as Geoff Keighley tweeted:
Fall Guys is great and all….but what if I told you there is @FallGuysGame: Season 2! 👑 😮🤯
Don’t miss the world premiere sneak peek from @Mediatonic during @gamescom Opening Night Live.

Gamescon is one of the more notable gaming conventions that was impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, and just like all the others, it’s going digital this year. Fall Guys has already been adding new content steadily since launch, from patches to certain game modes to new stages. One of the main highlights of the game is costumes, and Mediatonic hasn’t been stingy with them. An update recently brought many formerly PC-exclusive skins to the PlayStation 4 edition, and recent leaks have shown the possibility of skins based on games like Portal and My Friend Pedro. Whatever Mediatonic reveals they have planned for Season 2 of Fall Guys, I’m sure it’s content that’ll keep current fans happy, and new players drawn in.
