Everything Shown Off in the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

The 2/21 Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase gave a look at a ton of games from Nintendo’s publishing partners, including a new Super Monkey Ball game, a remaster of Epic Mickey, and a new game in the Endless Ocean series. Here’s everything that was shown off.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble

The first new entry in the Super Monkey Ball series since 2012’s Banana SplitzSuper Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is a Nintendo Switch exclusive containing over 200 new stages. The game has four player local co-op and, new to the series, 16 player online gameplay with a variety of modes. It launches on June 25, 2024, with preorders available now.

Endless Ocean: Luminous

The Wii scuba diving series Endless Ocean is receiving a new entry that features online play for up to 30 players, who can share discoveries and interact as they explore the open ocean. Endless Ocean: Luminous is set in the unexplored Veiled Sea, which changes with every dive, and contains over 500 species of marine life, including extinct and mythical creatures. The game launches on May 2, 2024 for the Nintendo Switch.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

A remake of the 2010 Wii game Epic MickeyRebrushed sees Mickey Mouse enter a strange dimension where he shapes the world with a magic brush. It is developed by THQ Nordic, the studio behind the Battle for Bikini Bottom remake, and launches later this year.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance features a new story for SMT V, featuring new quests, characters, and a new dungeon. Players choose an alternate route at the start of the game, which changes the middle and end of the story that they already know. It launches on June 21, 2024 for multiple platforms.

Suika Game Multi-Player Mode Expansion

Local two player battles are coming to the smash hit Suika Game via a paid DLC season pass, with three different modes – original, time limit, and attack. Online multiplayer will be added in the future. The DLC is available for the Nintendo Switch today on its own or via a bundle with the base game.

Contra: Operation Galuga

Contra: Operation Galuga, the revival of Konami’s influential run-‘n’-gun franchise, received a release date of March 12, along with a playable demo out now. The demo contains a sample of two stages, and will unlock bonus content in the final release. It is available for all major platforms.

Penny’s Big Breakaway

This 3D platformer from the team behind Sonic Mania received a surprise drop. Penny’s Big Breakaway features 40 levels across 11 worlds, with yo-yo based platforming and combat. It will be available for the Nintendo Switch later today.

World of Goo 2

The sequel to the 2008 physics-based puzzle game, World of Goo 2 adds Explosive, Growing, and Shrinking Goo, and will feature over 64 levels. It will launch on Nintendo Switch as a console exclusive on May 23.

Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online and its expansion pack received five new games developed by Rare, which are available today. The NES received Snake Rattle ‘N’ Roll and R.C. PRO-AM, the SNES got BATTLETOADS IN BATTLEMANIACS and KILLER INSTINCT, and the N64 got BLAST CORPS.

Grounded

Obsidian Entertainment’s Grounded is receiving a Nintendo Switch port. The co-op survival game game, which was originally released in 2022 for Xbox and PC, shrinks players down to insect size, where they can build bases and craft tools to survive in their own backyard. The Nintendo Switch version releases on April 16.

ENDER MAGNOLIA: Bloom in the mist

The sequel to the 2021 RPG ENDER LILLIES: Quietus of the Knights got a reveal trailer. Set in the interconnected Land of Fumes, the game features 2D action RPG gameplay, and will release for the Nintendo Switch sometime this year.

Arranger: A Role Puzzling Adventure

Arranger: A Role Puzzling Adventure is, as the name implies, a puzzle-based adventure game. The world is created on a grid system, shifting in the same direction as the player character moves. It will release in Summer 2024.

Unicorn Overlord

Atlus and Vanillaware’s tactical fantasy RPG Unicorn Overlord received a new trailer showcasing battles and troop customization. A free demo launched alongside the trailer, with progress transferring to the main game when it releases on March 8.

Monster Hunter Stories

An enhanced version of 2017’s Monster Hunter Stories is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally released f0r the Nintendo 3DS, the Switch version includes fully voiced lines, HD visuals, a museum mode for art and music, and previously Japan-exclusive content. It will release this summer.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection

A collection of 2004’s STAR WARS: Battlefront and 2005’s STAR WARS: Battlefront II is coming to the Nintendo Switch, featuring campaigns, local multiplayer, and online battles for up to 64 players. The collection also adds new playable characters like Kit Fisto and Asajj Ventress and maps like Jabba’s Palace and Bespin: Cloud City. It will release on March 14, with preorders available now.

SOUTH PARK: SNOW DAY!

This co-op action game based on the South Park series allows players to take control of the main characters from the show as they battle through the streets of the town. It will launch on March 26, with preorders available now.

SWORD ART ONLINE Fractured Daydream

Based on the popular anime SWORD ART ONLINE, the action game Fractured Daydream received its first trailer. The game features both solo and online co-op play, with up to 20 players taking part in raids at once as a variety of SWORD ART ONLINE characters. It releases on the Nintendo Switch later this year.

GUNDAM BREAKER 4

The newest entry in the Gundam Breaker series features over 250 base kits to customize Gunpla and build and battle with the ultimate mech. It releases for the Nintendo Switch sometime this year.

FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time

The next in the FANTASY LIFE series, The Girl Who Steals Time features four player online co-op and 14 different routes with town-building and adventuring. It launches for the Nintendo Switch on October 10.

Another Crab’s Treasure

A soulslike in which players take control of a hermit crab who has lost his shell, Another Crab’s Treasure allow players to collect over 60 makeshift shells, each with unique abilities. It received a release date for the Nintendo Switch of April 26.

Pepper Grinder

Pepper Grinder is a platformer based around burrowing through land and water with a drill. It got a release date of March 28, and has a free demo available now in the Nintendo eShop.

Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On

Game Freak’s Pocket Card Jockey is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Originally for the 3DS, iOS, and Android, this updated version of the solitaire-based horse racing game features new rules, Joy-Con controls, and 3D racing segments. The full game and a playable demo are both available now for the Nintendo Switch.

Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley

A musical adventure game in which the player attempts to restore nature from a series of industrial parks, Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley features an in-depth story and music from the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. The game releases for the Nintendo Switch on March 7, with preorders open now. Preordering gives players access to the cosmetic Cherished Keepsakes DLC.

Tales of Kenzera: ZAU

Inspired by myths from Bantu cultures, this 2.5D action-adventure game will have players fighting restless spirits using the power of the Sun and Moon to become an Nganga, a spiritual healer. It will launch on Nintendo Switch on April 23, with preorders available now for a 10% discount and other perks.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board!

This party game is based on the hit anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, with a variety of boards, events, and minigames. The game releases for Nintendo Switch on April 26.

Kingdom Come Deliverance – Royal Edition

Previously available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the historical RPG Kingdom Come Deliverance is coming to Nintendo Switch. The Royal Edition includes the base game and all of its DLC, and will be released on March 15, with preorder available now.

Pentiment

Obsidian Entertainment’s 2022 historical RPG Pentiment, which was previously an Xbox console exclusive, is being released on the Nintendo Switch, along with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It is available now on these consoles.
