Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is just six days away, and many fans are looking forward to revisiting Edward Kenway’s story. Yesterday, Ubisoft released a Road to Launch for the game, which essentially goes through all the new and returning content coming to the remake. Here’s everything that’s included within the Road to Launch for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced.
Combat is seeing the biggest change from the original game. Many different types of takedowns will be able to be performed in the heat of battle, depending on how players approach, perform, or use the environment in combat. The Rope Dart has been altered a bit, and will be able to be obtained much earlier in Resynced than in the original so that players will have as many tools as they can. Weapons will also have distinct differences, as rapiers are better as piercing through foes, cutlasses can hit multiple enemies with heavy attacks, and Pistol-swords allows for versatility in focusing one target or spreading damage to others. Enemies are different as well, elites in particular, and require more setup to include within chain takedowns. The all new Demolitionist enemy will also bring ballistic firepower for players to contend with.
Stealth, a large aspect of the Assassin’s Creed series as a whole, has been reworked to be more in line with the recent AC games. Players will now be able to crouch at any point in time, which will change your level of visibility, which will be seen on the new meter in the HUD. Tools can be used to enhance stealth as well, including the Blowpipe which can shoot both sleep and berserk darks, and smoke bombs. The Rope Dart can also be used in stealth situations, pulling enemies into assassinations and hanging enemies to serve as a distraction. Social stealth hasn’t seen too many changes, but has some new additions included. Hiring NPCs to distract enemies, throwing money into streets, and blending in with crowds are all elements of the original Black Flag that will be making a return. A new quality-of-life feature comes in the form of players being able to toggle Edward Kenway’s hood on or off.
Parkour has been improved overall, allowing for more precision in vaulting and climbing depending on what direction players are looking. Ziplines have also been added to make traversing areas fast and convenient. As for the naval aspects that gave the original Assassin’s Creed Black Flag its identity, there have been a number of changes and new additions for players to enjoy. There are 3 new officers that players can recruit for the Jackdaw, being the Padre, Lucy Baldwin, and Tobias “Deadman” Smith, all of which improving the ship in unique ways.
the Jackdaw, like in the original, will be an important part of Edward Kenway’s kit. Players will need to do all they can to collect the resources they’ll need to upgrade their ship and survive the seas. Boarding enemy ships is encouraged, with boarding giving the most resources and providing the Jackdaw more health to stay in the fight. Players can also capture the ship and add it to Kenway’s fleet. Exploration will be another big part of getting resources, by both land and sea. Players will also be able to customize the Jackdaw to how they see fit.
New missions and other content are also being added into Resynced. These missions include familiar faces like Blackbeard, but also will feature new faces like the previously mentioned officers. The lovable sea shanties are all returning, along with ten entirely new ones. Players will even be able to acquire a pet for their ship. Photo mode is also being added to go alongside the new, upgraded graphics of Black Flag Resynced.
Players will have a lot to look forward to with the release of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynched coming on July 9th. Fans of the original game are sure to come back to join Edward Kenway on his story again, and are sure to enjoy the new content that’s being thrown in with what’s to return. Between the new combat mechanics, the improved parkour, and the all new inclusions, it looks like Black Flag Resynced is on the right course to be as popular as it’s predecessor.
