G.I. Joe, Pinball Spire, and More Revealed at Indie.io’s Showcase at IGN Live

Indie.io (publisher of HumanitZ and Coromon and formerly known as Freedom Games) held a showcase at IGN Live today, showing off upcoming releases and first looks at new titles from the indie publisher. You can find firsthand, in-person coverage from IGN Live on all the big announcements from the Indie.io publisher showcase right here:

  • Pinball Spire is an upcoming metroidvania-pinball game with retro graphics and a dark spire to explore. The trailer came with developer commentary, pointing out the game’s new composer, customization choices, and a powerful slow motion ability.
  • Shoot on Sight is an isometric competitive shooter coming soon to Steam. The game features hardcore combat with fog of war and survival elements
  • AI.VI is a tower defense FPS with cell-shaded graphics. Players will fight robots and build defenses while shooting enemies with a range of weapons.
  • Soulquest is a 2D-platformer inspired by the worlds of Celtic mythology and Arthurian kings. The game has a fast, tight combat system that developers promise is completely unique to the game.
  • Get Your Tentacles off my Waifu is a retro-style shoot ‘em up where players fight tentacled monsters while trying to save a legion of Pony  (fans of My Little Pony will find the waifus especially familiar).
  • The Haunting of Joni Evers is a first person “stroll player” (or, a “walking simulator”, say the developers) that tells an emotional narrative story about a family’s struggles as you explore a house that proves spooky and sometimes thrilling.
  • SCP: Fragmented Minds is a survival horror game set in the scary sci-fi universe of SCP. Players will be able to craft new tools and weapons to fight their way out of the breached laboratory of SCP, facing plenty of monsters along the way.
  • A Death in the Red Light is a true-crime mystery game set in the city of Amsterdam. Players will solve a real-world historical case while learning about the culture and locations of the famous European city.
  • Chronomon is a monster-taming and farming game, appearing to be equal parts Pokemon and Stardew Valley. Stone Golem Studios are developing the game, which features fishing, changing seasons, and more.
  • Shrine’s Legacy is a retro-style top down RPG inspired by the Super Nintendo era. The game’s campaign will be fully playable in 2-player co-op, and developers promise they have every intention to support speedrunners and the community around the game
  • Adventurer’s Gambit: Dungeons of Fortune is an over-the-shoulder dungeon crawler playable in solo or four-player co-op.
  • Dwellink: War of the Nine had a brief trailer, showing off stylish visuals in the upcoming fantasy RPG.
  • Echoes of the Plum Grove is a cute life-sim featuring craft-esque graphics reminiscent of the Paper Mario series. The game, which is out now, allows players to get married, raise kids, overcome diseases, and even die of old age (before continuing your journey from the person of one of your children).
  • Everholm is an isometric farming and exploration game where players will solve the mystery of the titular land of Everholm, while helping lead character Lily find her sister. The game has a demo available right now on Steam
  • G.I. Joe: Wrath of Cobra is an arcade beat ‘em up with a cast of the franchise’s classic heroes and iconic villains.
  • Dark Deity II is an anime RPG with a staggering amount of content. There are 54 playable player classes and multiple game modes, including a roguelike mode.
  • Immortal Hunters is a sidescrolling monster-fighting game, where players use an arsenal of special moves and abilities to fight brutal enemies. The game eggs on players to “Fight. Die. Resurrect.”
  • World of Football is a competitive free to play soccer game, in which players control roomba-like devices to play a pretty loyal adaptation of the game of football.
  • Forgotten Seas is a survival-crafting pirate game, in which players take on the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle while surviving the brutal seas in epic ship battles and sword combat.

The showcase wrapped up with a montage of Indie.io’s catalog of both unreleased and already available games.
