Today was the Evercade Showcase Vol. 1 revealing some of the new games that are coming to the Evercade console. Six new cartridges were revealed as well as a new limited edition Evercade VS and several new publishers have been announced. Here is a rundown of everything that was revealed at Evercade Showcase Vol. 1
Duke Nukem is coming to Evercade in two collections. In total, six Duke Nukem games will be available on Evercade on a physical cartridge, complete with a manual and box. This includes Duke Nukem 3D, Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, Duke Nukem: Advance, Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, and Duke Nukem 1+2 Remastered.
Duke Nukem 1+2 Remastered are the first two Duke Nukem games rebuilt from the ground up by Blaze Entertainment. The original games will boast multiple enhancements including smooth scrolling, 60fps gameplay, parallax scrolling backgrounds, redesigned huds, widescreen support, and the ability to switch between modern and classic modes.
Duke Nukem Collection 1 will have Duke Nukem 1+2 Remastered and Duke Nukem 3D. Duke Nukem Collection 2 will feature Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, and Duke Nukem: Advance. Both collections will launch in November 2023 and will be available to pre-order starting in August 2023.
Both Duke Nukem Collections will be bundled with the limited edition Evercade VS Atomic Edition. This version of the Evercade VS console draws inspiration from the iconic action-packed movies and games of the 80s and 90s. It comes equipped with the exclusive Atomic Warning color scheme and two matching Evercade VS controllers, plus all the Duke Nukem games. The Evercade VS Atomic Edition is available to pre-order now. This collection will only be limited to 2000 units.
The Delphine Software Collection 1 has three Amiga classics: Another World, Future Wars, Operation Stealth – and the console gaming legend Flashback. This collection will be released in September 2023. Pre-orders go live in July 2023.
Sunsoft Collection 1 brings together six classic games from the renowned Japanese developer. The full game list consists of Aero the Acro-Bat, Arabian, Blaster Master, Blaster Master Boy, Journey to Silius, and Mr. Gimmick! The Sunsoft Collection 1 is set to be released in September 2023 and will be available to pre-order in July 2023.
The Sydney Hunter Collection brings together four great titles each originally released for a different classic retro gaming platform from CollectorVision Games. This collection includes Sydney Hunter and the Shrines of Peril, Sydney Hunter and the Secret Tribe, Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death, and Jester. The Sydney Hunter Collection is set to launch in August 2023. It will be available to pre-order starting tomorrow June 1, 2023.
The Piko Interactive Arcade 1 features 9 unusual, varied, and rare arcade games from the mid to late 1990s including Dragon Master, Master’s Fury, Fancy World: Earth of Crisis, Magic Purple, The Legend of Silkroad and Burglar X from Korean developer Unico, plus Art & Magic’s visually impressive sports title Ultimate Tennis, and Steel Force and Diver Boy from Electronic Devices Italy.
