The Evercade EXP-R comes in charcoal grey with turquoise accents on the Menu, Start, and Select buttons, as well as the power button. The new model also comes equipped with a new textured grip on the rear of the console which provides extra comfort during longer play sessions. The EXP-R will include WiFi for easy updates and the TATE button at the bottom which allows for the screen to be rotated to play vertical games easily with accurate screen ratio.
The biggest difference between the EXP-R and the EXP is the removal of the bonus 18 built-in titles from Capcom as well as the focus on being a handheld gaming experience.
The Evercade VS-R also comes in a charcoal grey with turquoise accents with the front LED and Power button. The VS-R will still feature a dual cartridge slot and four USB ports for local multiplayer action. The console firmware now includes the option for TATE screen rotation so vertical games can be played on the big screen if the television or monitor supports it.
The VS-R comes with one controller (also in charcoal grey with turquoise accents), one micro-USB power cable, and one Evercade cartridge collection.
Evercade is also announcing a new peripheral for the Evercade EXP and EXP-R. The Evercade TATE Grip secures the EXP or EXP-R in a comfortable controller-like cradle, enabling for play of TATE games to be played for longer and with more accurate response and user comfort.
Evercade is introducing a new type of cartridge designed specifically for larger and more modern retro games, mostly originally released on CD. The Giga Cart will be identical in size and shape to the existing carts but will internally have a larger capacity.
