A battle in the spacefaring MMO EVE Online between the Pandemic Legion Alliance and the Black Legion Alliance resulted in participants losing a combined total of about $13,700 worth of resources. Most of that amount was due to the destruction of Pandemic Legion’s Revenant Supercarrier, which alone was worth about $8,000.
ISK, the currency used in EVE Online, has a real money value due to EVE Online subscriptions being purchasable with both regular money and ISK. The destroyed Revenant was worth about 300 billion ISK, which translates into over $8,000.
