Today, as part of Summer Games Fest 2022, Epic Games held showcase revealing what is soon coming to the company’s store. There were no major announcements, but below are the trailers of the games shown at the event:
“The story of The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria takes players beyond the books and into the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, the fantastical world created by J.R.R. Tolkien…Summoned to the Misty Mountains by Lord Gimli Lockbearer, players take control of a company of dwarves tasked to reclaim the lost spoils from the Dwarven homeland of Moria—known as Khazad-dûm or Dwarrowdelf—in the depths below their very feet.”
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a 4 vs. 1 multi-player game where four players play as ghostbusters against one player causing mayhem as a ghost. Each character comes with different move-sets and skills, such as: Proton Pack, Particle Thrower, and P.K.E. meter. The ghostbusters must track down the ghost to capture it, and the ghost must successfully hinder the ghostbusters’ progress in order to win.
PC Building Simulator 2 is a simulation game that allows players to virtually assemble a PC build. Gamers can download the open beta from Epic Games’ store today and receive 15% at launch.
From the gameplay reveal trailer, Shoulders of Giants appears to be a hybrid of sci-fi third-person shooter mixed with team-based MOBA, where players must capture certain checkpoints to gain control over the map. The game is slated to release this fall and will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.
Sifu will be receiving a summer update that will include “gameplay modifiers, ranging from faster enemies, unbreakable weapons, a bullet-time slow-motion mode, and a low gravity option that will allow players to customize the rules for their runs.”
TCHIA is a physics-driven sandbox game that allows players to transform into everyday objects. The game is slated to release early 2023.
Goat Simulator 3 is the direct sequel to Coffee Stain Studios’ 2014 chaotic physics sandbox game, Goat Simulator. The game is set to release this fall.
Splitgate, made by 1047 Studios, is the game where elements from both Portal and Halo collide: an online first-person shooter where players can traverse through portals. The game will contain remasters maps, new game modes, and more. The game is set to come to the store in the fall.
Available now during its closed beta, Disney Speedstorm is a racing game where Mario Kart meets Disney and Pixar characters. Click here to join now and race on a brand new track, Silver Screen.
In Gigabash, players play as third-person monsters with special abilities duking it out on small city stages. The game will be available on August 5.
Rawmen: Food Fighters is cartoonish, food-centric multiplayer arena shooter that has a beta available on the Epic Games Store from July 1st-3rd.
Rocket League Season 7 will available to play on June 15th, bringing new glitzy and glamorous prizes for players to earn.
Fall Guys Season 1 Free-For-All will be free-to-play and available on June 21. This trailer also reveals new cosmetics and arenas for players to enjoy.
On November 12, at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, NC, Epic Games will host the first, official, FCNS in-person Fortnite tournament with a $1 million prize pool. Epic Games will invite 100 players to see who will rise to the top.
