Cyberpunk 2077 will be 10% off, and Hades will be 20% off.
Recently, Epic talked about how they want to continue releasing more Epic Store exclusives, something they have been doing ever since its launch in 2018 as a counter to Steam. One of Epic Game Store’s biggest advantages that they have is how the revenue split works with developers. Epic offers devs a bigger cut, 88/12 than Steam’s traditional 70/30. Since its launch, Epic Games Store has received plenty of exclusive launch games on their platforms.
So far, Epic’s strategy seems to be working. Looking back on 2020, the Epic Games Store saw historic growth in engagement across the board. PC customers spent over $700 million on the Epic Games Store. Third-party games represented 37% at $265 million.
Talking to PC Gamer, a company representative said that they have more in store. In fact, Epic will have more games coming than they have released so far. “We have more exclusives coming in the next two years than we have published to date,” a company representative said. They also talked about their plans for making the store more accessible to everyone. The rep said, “our investment into content is going to continue and multiply as we work toward an open store and launch even more platform features.”
