It’s been nearly three years since the Epic Games Store officially launched, bringing in a new and heavy competitor to Steam in the PC gaming market. Despite the company’s practices on bringing in exclusive titles, it’s fully established itself as a viable option for those in the PC gaming community. However, one of the things that has been repeatedly requested by fans has been actual launcher achievements for the titles they play on it. The wait has come to an end, as Epic Games has announced that they will be officially implementing their own achievements for the Epic Game Store starting next week for select titles.
Achievements will be added to Epic Games Launcher next weekhttps://t.co/HUfxBDZsB8

The achievements will be sorted in a similar fashion to Sony’s Trophy System. That means that each achievement will be assigned certain tier levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze will be the easier achievements and story-related ones, while Silver will pertain to mostly challenges and possibly some other story achievements. Gold will be saved for the much harder achievements such as beating the game on the hardest difficulty and the like. The tiers will also give the player a certain amount of points with Bronze getting between 5 and 45, Silver with 50 and 95, and Gold going from 100 to 200.
If you obtain more than 1,000 points in a game then you’ll be awarded the Platinum Achievement, which is worth 250 points. When Epic launches the new system next week it’ll come with a new Achievement detail section for their respective title. From there you can view the Achievements that you’ve obtained as well as ones that you’ve yet to complete. Keep in mind that only a few titles will be compatible when it launches next week, but the company is more than likely to have more titles utilize it as time goes on.
