Epic Games Garners Another Epic Collaboration with South Park Coming to Fortnite

Yeah you read that right, South Park is coming to Fortnite. “Born in Chaos,” is officially arriving tomorrow and running as a limited-time event through February 5. In this event, Epic Games brings the world of South Park into Fortnite in a way that blends the show’s trademark humor with the battle royale’s chaotic gameplay. The collaboration was officially revealed with a trailer showing the familiar South Park characters being pulled into the Fortnite universe after Butters gets left out of a squad he uses the Stick of Truth to transform their school bus into a Battle Bus.

According to the trailer and the official Fortnite Website players can expect a lineup of South Park-themed skins in the Item Shop, featuring Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Kenny McCormick, Eric Cartman, and Butters in distinctive outfits that fit Fortnite’s aesthetic, often styled as mech suits to match the game’s character models. Alongside these, the quirky Towelie appears as a Sidekick cosmetic, adding a fun tie-in for fans of the show.

A major draw of the collaboration is the introduction of Quints, a five-player squad playlist that marks the first time Fortnite has offered a mode where teams of five can queue together in Battle Royale. This addition changes the typical team dynamics of four players per team and invites more players to join in on the chaos, giving groups a new way to play.

The event also includes a free “Born in Chaos” Mini-Pass, which players can progress through by completing themed challenges. This pass doesn’t automatically grant the main South Park skins, those must be purchased separately. However it does offer a slate of themed cosmetic rewards, encouraging participation without spending V-Bucks.

Beyond cosmetics and modes, the collaboration brings new gameplay items tied to the South Park universe: the Stick of Truth, a Mythic-tier item that can uniquely influence the storm circle when used, and consumables like Cheesy Poofs and Kenny’s Respawn Token, which add fresh mechanics and humor to matches. Additionally, a new themed point of interest, Cartmanland, replaces Wonkeeland on the map during the event and is packed with visual references to the show’s lore.

Fortnite at this point is known for having a notable variety of cross overs throughout the game’s history. Fortnite in the past has already collaborated with Family and the Simpsons so it comes as no surprise to players of the game that South Park would be another huge cross over event planned. It is only a matter of time to see what Fortnite will be bringing into the game next.
