Epic Games is developing a new mobile game in collaboration with JJ Adams’ game development company Bad Robot Games. The game is called Spyjinx and is an action-adventure experience based around being a secret agent. There isn’t much else revealed about the game, though the Epic Games website provides some screenshots and information about gameplay.
The art style is reminiscent of their popular online game Fortnite, more specifically chapter 2 which is also based around secret agents. Epic Games and Bad Robot Games have worked together before to debut a Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer within Fortnite. JJ Adams’ new studio is a spinoff of his production studio Bad Robot, which was funded by Epic investor Tencent. This video game division was made to partner with traditional game developers and produce mobile, PC, and console titles like this upcoming game.
The Spyjinx overview reveals the ability to create your own hideout and build a squad to help you rank up in the “Jinx League”. Squad members can feature different agents, included examples being hackers and brawlers. A beta test was announced for players in Malaysia and eventually Australia. Those who wish to be apart of the test can download the beta from the IOS app store. Initially, the game is only available on IOS systems, though Epic Games will notify website members when this changes.
The Jinx League will be doing a test recruitment for future Masterminds in specific locations.
