Today, Red Rover Interactive released an exclusive gameplay trailer for their game Enginefall. The trailer looks more in depth at what the players can expect the gameplay to look like, and by the end of the trailer, it was announced that Enginefall will be going through a playtest. Players will be able to sign up for this playtest from 8 P.M. to 11 P.M. on March 1st of this year in Europe, 6:10 P.M. to 9:10 P.M. EST and 3:10-6:10 P.M. PST in North America. There has not been a specific release date for the game, but players can request access on Steam as of now, and the developers are looking for an early 2026 release.
The gameplay trailer shows that the game takes place in a post apocalyptic world where players can craft, fight, and breeze through the classes to take over a train to build their way to freedom. The train is separated into different classes and multiple carriages that hold different resources types, shopping districts, and technology. Players will also be able to build and customize their weapons over time.
Enginefall is a multiplayer sandbox game that combines combat, survival crafting, and long-term progression. The goal of the game is to start a revolution through many different ways like through force or strategy, and take over a train and build a community. Players will also raid rival trains to steal their resources and eliminate enemy players.
According to the Steam page, this is what is said about the game’s story, “Start as a “tailie,” trapped in eternal servitude aboard a massive mega-train, and fight to rise through the classes, take the engine, and become the conductor. Whether you focus on shooting and raiding, make friends and build alliances, or craft the ultimate base and gear, every new train is a chance to carve your own path to freedom.”
