Coming out originally in 2014, Endless Legend took a lot of people by surprise as a quality 4x strategy game. On October 14th, a naval-based expansion will launch for the game called Tempest. This expansion will be the first time that naval warfare is enabled, opening up new strategy options. Also introduced is the water-based faction, the Morgawr. You can check out some of the details of these monsters in this video:
Naval warfare in Endless Legend so far seems pretty impactful. With powerful weaponry, your ships can rain death on cities from afar. Endless relics now exist within the ocean that provides resources and luxuries. To get to them, you will have to defeat powerful guardians near what developer Amplitude Studios call “wild” seas. These areas have environmental hazards as an additional threat. There are a ton of things to discover on the open waters, but you will have to tread carefully.
The new faction, the Morgawr are seafaring specialists that will cause a lot of ruckus in the briny deep. They have the capability to summon leviathans to smash enemy armies like playthings, in addition to mind control powers. Weird combination, we are sure, but it sounds rather cool when you think about it.
Tempest will be released on October 14th at the price of $12.99. Other expansions such as Shadows and Guardians have gone for a similar amount and have offered a sizeable amount of content. Amplitude Studios has also recently released Endless Space 2 into early access for those that are interested.
