Marvel fans were given an update on the status of Electronic Arts’s upcoming Iron Man video game. According to the Thursday morning announcement, General Manager (GM) at the EA subsidiary Motive Studio Patrick Klaus explained all the new developments in the game’s ongoing Pre-Production phase. This is the first update on the game since its reveal to the public in September 2022.
“…We’re still early in pre-production and taking our time to make sure we set the best possible foundation for development. But already, we’re finding so many opportunities to explore story, design and gameplay with Iron Man, and it’s exciting to see the fantasy start coming alive,” wrote Klaus.
According to the announcement, to help with the games development a Community Council of Iron Man and Marvel fans was made to help offer feedback on the games narrative design and gameplay. Additionally, it was announced that the Unreal Engine 5 was chosen for the game.
“…This is a period of evolution for us—evolution that leads to elevation. Our studio continues to raise the bar on how we practice our values, including our steadfast commitment to learning and team spirit. We are so grateful to do what we do, in a field we all love, and for the trust given to us by EA, by our amazing collaborators at Marvel Games and of course, by our players. We are ultra-focused and motivated,” Klaus continued.
There still isn’t much known about EA’s Iron Man Game in regard to it’s plot or gameplay mechanics. All that we do know is that it will be a single player action/adventure game with a unique narrative that throws players into the world of Tony Stark and take the reigns of the playboy billionaire turned superhero.
