EA’s Games Will Be Available On Steam Starting With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order; EA Access Coming To Steam In Spring

Last week, EA hinted that they would be putting their games back on Steam after pulling them for Origin. Today, EA has made it official and announced partnership with Valve that would not only put EA games on the platform but their subscription service, EA Access as well. The press release says: “Electronic Arts and Valve have partnered to put EA games into the hands of the players on Steam. Starting next Spring, EA Access-our ever-growing subscription service powered by great games and membership benefits-will be making its way to Steam. EA Access is the first and only gaming subscription service available on Steam, and the fourth platform featuring an EA subscription.” Earlier this year, EA Access made its way to the PlayStation 4. The partnership between EA and Valve begins next month, with the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on November 15.

In the coming months, games such as The Sims 4 and Unravel Two will be available. Apex Legends, FIFA 2020, and Battlefield V will be available for Steam next year. Players from Origin and Steam will be able to play together. EA Access also provides other benefits besides games. You can get exclusive early trials to try games out before you buy them. Progress made during the trial carries over to the full game. Members also get a 10% discount off of digital purchases.

With Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order releasing soon, many members of the media got a chance to play the game in a final preview event. Some even got a chance to interview Respawn and learned more about making a game inspired by Dark Souls and Sekiro accessible with tactical combat system, what went into trying to nail combat with a lightsaber, the challenge in trying to make combat feel challenging with someone who is a Jedi against others who are not and why exploration is major focus for the game.
