As we approach the beginning of Summer, we’re bound to see some company’s and studios reveal some of their upcoming projects. EA is no exception to this and being one of the largest gaming corporations in the world means that they have a lot to offer in terms of announcements. One of their IP’s, Battlefield, is due for another entry, and the game’s official Twitter account just tweeted that they will be revealing something in June, which is next month. This is possibly the long-rumored Battlefield 6, which itself was teased just last month and “has the biggest Battlefield team ever.”
Words that rhyme with Soon:

The tongue in cheek tweet notwithstanding, it’s very clear that the next entry is going to be on a fairly large scale. While there is no clear cut way of saying that it’s going to be Battlefield 6, all signs seem to be pointing to the inevitable announcement. EA picking June is no major surprise either. E3 2021 will officially take place this month from June 12-15, with a who’s who of gaming titans participating. The question now is will EA save it for the days of E3, or make the reveal sometime before that? Either way, this only adds to the already highly anticipated video game event as the previous one did not take place due to the world wide effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
What’s also very clear is that EA doesn’t appear to be holding back this time when it comes to recourses. We already know that they’ve put together a massive development team, some of which include the Need for Speed team due to EA delaying the next entry for the Need for Speed series in order to focus more on the Battlefield entry. They’re also more than looking forward to making it even better and bigger than Battlefield V, which received a mixed reception from the fanbase. The company officially ended support for the title when the final major update was released in Summer 2020.
