EA Shows Off FIFA 20 Gameplay

Another decade of arguably one of the most successful sports games of all time is making its yearly release later this year. EA has revealed the first look at gameplay for FIFA 20 and its cover athlete has yet to be announced. While the great Cristiano Ronaldo was on the front of FIFA 19, fans still have the opportunity to vote for their favorite all-star for this year’s installment. Check out some of the nominees and place your vote on the FIFA game’s website.

FIFA is back and EA Romania and EA Vancouver are once again doing their best to bring realism to the game that supports the fans of the most popular sport in the world. Just like the Madden, NHL, and even Call of Duty series, it’s not always an easy job coming up with innovative ideas for yearly new releases. But FIFA 20 will live by the saying “Break new ground” with EA Sports VOLTA, which brings soccer (football) back to the “streets with the authentic culture, creativity, and style of the small-sided game.” Players will once again be able to create their own male or female athlete, there will be a host of new customizations for tattoos, clothing, gear, emotes, looks, and hair styles.

This back to the streets of the game theme will take players to locales all over the world. Some of these places include an underpass in Amsterdam, a rooftop in Tokyo, and a London cage in a neighborhood. What is being called VOLTA World will have its own story mode and League where professional teams can take matches to the streets.  The choices in match type will be numerous with 3 versus 3 with no goaltender, 4 versus 4, 5 versus 5, Professional, and more. Gamers will also need to change up their strategy depending on the arena that they are playing in, which can be many different sizes and have environments with or without walls

FIFA 20 is on its way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Origin libraries on September 24.
