EA Servers Down Amid Possible DDoS Attacks

According to Polygon, a team of malicious hackers have taken responsibility for multiple issues with connection and EA’s online servers. The name of the group assuming responsibly is PoodleCorp, they are a network that takes aim at major online games. They tweeted earlier today that EA would be the next target of their ongoing crusade of attacks. This lead to an immense outage that made players frustrated.

EA is aware of  the server issues, however the gaming developer hasn’t officially listed a cause for said issues. Even console players have been affected as games such as Madden 17 have been a victim.

Battlefield’s Twitter account said,

[We are] currently experiencing server outages. We’re working to resolve as soon as possible.

This tweet was sent just a mere few hours after Battlefield 1’s beta launched as well as more about an hour after PoodleCorp’s tweet.

Players on EA’s console servers were also booted offline last night, the hacker group once again claimed responsibility. With all of this happening, Battlefield fans have been left with staggering servers in a time where they wanted to check out the 64-player beta today.

This will clearly take the wind out of the sails of the Beta’s launch however players will still flock and play once all issues are resolved. Hopefully our connections are good and the servers are ready, because everyone wants a taste at the future of past time warfare.

Happy connecting.
