EA Releases Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Final Gameplay Trailer Ahead of April 28 Launch

One of the most anticipated titles of 2023 is almost here. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to launch later this month on April 28, 2023, and Respawn Entertainment and EA want to make sure that we’re all ready for the next installment of their Jedi series. The publisher has released the final gameplay trailer for the title, which shows a grizzly-looking Cal Kestis taking on several opponents while using different abilities of the force. The trailer also shows Cal’s proficiency with a lightsaber, most of which seems to have been greatly improved from the previous entry.

The trailer, which runs just under two minutes, has Cal in both cutscenes and gameplay traversing different terrains and planets on his never-ending journey of trying to revive the Jedi order and take down the Empire. Cal wields not just a regular lightsaber, but a double-sided one as well, as we see him taking on several stormtroopers with it. Cal also uses speed run, a fan favorite, and wall running, a Respawn Entertainment staple, in the gameplay. However, the most amazing spectacle in the trailer is when Cal throws a scout trooper into a moving Tie Fighter at full speed. We also get a sneak peek at the metropolis planet of Coruscant, which is where the Empire’s main palace is seated, and where Cal appears to be heading.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was initially slated to launch sometime in March 2023, but was delayed by one month in order to fine-tune the title. That same month saw the reveal of several characters, some familiar and some brand new, all of which have an impact on the overall story. However, one of the most jarring tidbits of information that we found out was just last week when it was revealed that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will require 155 GB of storage when installing the game on your respective system. Hopefully, our solid-state drives are ready for that one.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will officially launch on April 28 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC.
