Today, Microsoft has provided an update on EA Play for Xbox Game Pass PC. Back in September, Microsoft announced that EA’s subscription service would be coming to Xbox Game Pass for no additional cost. This gave Game Pass members access to more than 60 of EA’s biggest and best console and PC games. EA Play became available on Xbox Game Pass on November 10 with the release of Xbox Series X|S. The service would’ve been available for Xbox Game Pass for PC sometime in December, but Microsoft has announced that EA Play won’t be on Xbox Game Pass for PC until 2021. Microsoft said “When we originally set out to write this blog post, which would announce the availability of EA Play on PC with Xbox Game Pass, it looked a little bit different. Unfortunately, what had been a celebratory post is now one asking for a little more patience: We made the decision to delay until 2021 the release of EA Play on PC as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships.”
Quick update: To ensure a great experience for everyone, EA Play will not be launching on PC with Xbox Game Pass until 2021.

“We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience,” Microsoft said.
In other Game Pass related news, Microsoft recently announced that xCloud streaming will be coming to iOS and PC devices in 2021. xCloud is Microsoft’s and Team Xbox’s streaming service that allows games from Xbox Game Pass to be played on an Android mobile phone and tablet from the cloud. The service was added as a benefit if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member. Ultimate Memberships includes access to the Game Pass library, Xbox Live Gold, EA Play, and xCloud streaming.
