Following up on a few details released nearly a month ago, EA has officially unveiled their next installment in the Need for Speed series. Dubbed Payback. the new series is aimed at re imagining the racing genre as well as returning to the good old fashioned story to keep players interested.
Payback will be taking place in Fortune Valley, a desert town where players will have plenty of high octane driving to be done. Players will be able to pull off heists as three different characters in order to try and take down the local cartel that occupies the city. As you can see above, the game looks like its going to be pretty action packed, this includes the fact that there may be a in depth story that comes along with the races. What should also make players happy is that this time around, the game will not require players to be connected in the internet in order to play the campaign. They listened to the players and opted to not do what they did in Rivals.
The game will also be open world and allow players to not only go through the campaign and earn some cash, but also allow players to totally customize their vehicles to their liking in order to make them completely unique. Within the reveal trailer there is also scenes of off road driving as well as a set release date of November 10th. The game will be available on the Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
